In The Making @ KZNSA Gallery

2 - 25 August 2024

The Non-Site Art Collective is a trio of South African artists founded by Dr. Adelheid Frackiewicz and Davina de Beer in December 2022. In 2023, Franli Meintjes joined the collective. The members are geographically dispersed: Frackiewicz is based in Bloemfontein, South Africa, De Beer in Seville, Spain, and Meintjes in Odendaalsrus, South Africa.

Initially conceived as an informal online space, the collective provided Frackiewicz and De Beer with a platform to discuss their art production processes and interdisciplinary collaborations across physical and conceptual borders. This ongoing dialogue evolved into the formal establishment of the Non-Site Art Collective, a space dedicated to mutual support and empowerment through virtual studio visits, conversation, art fair participations, and exhibitions.

In July 2023, the Non-Site Art Collective made their first public in-person presentation at the Turbine Art Fair in Johannesburg, South Africa. Their next exhibition is scheduled for August 2024 at the KZNSA Gallery in Durban, South Africa.
